The Leadership Network’s first Spotlight Event features best-selling author Erik Larson and Ed O’Malley, President and CEO of the Kansas Leadership Center.

Larson’s latest book is The Splendid and the Vile, an intimate chronicle of how Winston Churchill and his inner circle survived the bombing of London in World War II while rallying the British nation in its darkest hour.

Together, Ed and Erik will explore how the book offers examples of the kind of leadership we need more in our communities today - particularly as we emerge from the pandemic crisis.

After the interview, attendees are invited to continue the discussion in small groups to apply the conversation to their own lives and challenges. This is a special opportunity for leadership development professionals and others to draw inspiration from a celebrated leadership triumph of the 20th century.
